About Jane
Qualified, compassionate, and bilingual. I support adults, teenagers, and families through anxiety, grief, trauma, and life's many challenges. I work in English and Spanish.

My approach to therapy
I take an integrative approach to therapy, which means I draw on a range of evidence-based methods and adapt each session to what suits you best. Rather than applying a fixed framework, I begin by listening carefully to understand how you experience the world, what has brought you here, and what you hope things might look like on the other side.
The kinds of difficulties I work with most often include anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and major life changes. Whatever has brought you here, the work begins with one simple thing: feeling safe enough to speak honestly.

Why I became a therapist
I trained as a therapist because I had seen how transformative it can be to have a space that is entirely your own. No expectations, no performance, no wrong answers. A space where the conversations that usually stay below the surface of daily life can finally be spoken out loud.
Over ten years of practice later, that conviction has only grown. I have sat with clients at some of the most difficult moments of their lives and watched them find a way through. This work continues to be the most meaningful thing I do.
Therapy in English and Spanish
For many bilingual people, certain emotions and memories feel more accessible in one language than another. Grief might come more easily in Spanish. Anger might feel clearer in English. Therapy works best when you can express yourself in the language that feels most natural for what you are trying to say.
I offer sessions in both English and Spanish, and we can move between the two within a single session if that helps. There is no need to translate yourself.
What a session feels like
Sessions last fifty minutes and take place online via Google Meet. They are confidential, calm, and structured around what you bring. There is no agenda beyond yours and no pressure to cover certain ground within a certain time.
The first session is a conversation to see whether working together feels right for you. There is no obligation beyond it. If therapy with me is not the right fit, I will do my best to help you find someone who is.
